Client Win: Quantum Healing Center Website Launch
My most frequently asked question is How do you find clients?
The short answer to that is I don’t.
The longer answer is I’ve learned over time, and through running my business for five years + digging into my human design, that they find me. We’ll dig into the human design stuff more later. Knowing that my clients find me has been a huge gift to my business (and my anxiety, honestly!) because I never send a cold email. I have to exercise my trust muscles more than I’d like, but that’s a good practice.
How it happened
Brittany and Quantum Healing Center were classic examples of the right clients finding me at the right time. Brittany has been my mom’s doctor since I was in college. When my mom started going through menopause, she read a Suzanne Sommers book about bioidentical hormones, found Brittany, and saved all of our lives. My mom still sees Brittany and Savannah for her hormone treatments and not only explained what I do well (if you’re a freelance marketer, you get what I mean when I say that) but caught her when she was ready for a rebrand.
Cards were given, email addresses were exchanged, calls were scheduled, and meetings were had.
In the meantime, I nerded out about the fun things Brittany and Savannah offered: Botox, fillers, hormone replacement, lasers, nutritional + mindset coaching, IV therapy, and more.
Building the rebrand team
Emilie and I had recently interviewed Michelle from Minty Made on our podcast, The Coast, about her company and were impressed by what we learned from her about sustainable marketing. I knew Michelle would be the perfect partner to spearhead Brittany’s rebrand, especially since she had recently completed a similar project! The stars were aligning, and I set up a coffee date with Michelle to figure out how we were going to structure our joint proposal.
Because Michelle is also a creative director and extremely organized, we decided it was easiest if she led building the proposal, Brittany paid her, and Michelle paid me. I would write the website, and Michelle would do pretty much all the rest. I loved taking a bit of an organizational backseat, focusing mostly on the writing, and having a partner in a project, which was relatively rare for me until then. I often work in a silo, so any time I can partner with capable geniuses, I eat it up.
The process
We were charged with doing it all. The process took close to four months and included everything from new colors to a logo and headers and detailing services. Michelle kept us all organized on Notion. I attended the photo shoot in Vancouver, WA and got to invite my family, which was so much fun! Check me out on the website. Sometimes I model ;)
Witnessing Michelle’s step-by-step process was so fun for me. I geeked out about her inspiration boards, color palettes, Loom videos, and brand reveals. Everything was so intuitive and thoughtful. We’re now on our third website project together, and I continue to be grateful for our connection.
My writing was the last part of the process. Michelle built me a wireframe of the website that I filled in with proposed text based on Brittany and Savannah’s answers to detailed questionnaires, conversations we had, and SEO keyword research I did. I did it all in Google docs. It often is the easiest way.
In this case, Brittany and Savannah loved the thinking behind the branding so much that we put it on the website, too! Anything is possible when you’re building a new website or refreshing an old one. It doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s, and that’s the beauty of this process!
